Sun Valley Wellness Festival & Conference announces new dates for 2020

    Festival reschedules to August 21-24

Sun Valley Wellness Special Event with Byron Katie also postponed

The Sun Valley Wellness Festival & Conference (SVWFC) is widely recognized as the longest-running wellness festival in the world with a well-deserved reputation of attracting the world’s greatest thought-leaders. Its 23rd annual event has been rescheduled to August 21-24, 2020 from its original date in late June.  SVWFC stated that many of its renowned speakers scheduled for June 2020 will now be participating at this new date, including Keynote Speaker and sleep expert Matthew Walker PhD, and featured speakers Nora McInerny, Dr. Zach Bush, Dr. Eben Alexander and many others. Walker and McInerny’s Ted Talks are in the top five most popular talks viewed in 2019.

Having announced last year moving their annual June event to Ketchum, SVWFC still intends to present in Ketchum, now in August.  The organization is also planning for a potential ‘Virtual Festival Experience’ component that will allow participants the option to attend the conference from the comfort of their home.  Should public safety concerns prevent SVWFC from delivering a physical event, SVWFC will be offered virtually.

Sun Valley Wellness Board President Andria Friesen stated, “As the COVID-19 reality progressed it became clear that SVWFC needed to take action to move the event to later in the season since the safety and wellbeing of our guests, speakers, vendors and community are our highest priority.  Our 2020 roster of speakers is unprecedented for SVWFC, each one overwhelmingly qualified and planning to pivot their presentation to address the crisis at hand, within their field.  With our event’s content of global, community and individual wellness, the information that will be offered is perhaps needed now more than ever.”

SVWFC features a content-rich program with over 50 presentations, workshops, and movement classes by top wellness experts addressing diverse aspects of body, mind, spirit, and environmental wellness. SVWFC also offers a Movement Studio, Experience Park, In-Sight Stage, film screenings, music, and more.

SVWFC passes and information available at Special lodging rates and a 20% discount on Festival passes (valid with a confirmed lodging reservation) is offered by the Limelight Hotel in Ketchum, the 2020 SVWFC Headquarters.

The Sun Valley Wellness Memorial Weekend Special Event, A Day with Byron Katie, has also been postponed.  The new autumn date for this event will be announced shortly.
